Bike Riders currently has the following positions available. To be considered for employment, please follow the application directions under each job description.

Client Relations Manager
Job Overview:
Although Bike Riders is not a walk in business, the Client Relations Manager's role is as the energetic and enthusiastic front person. Your job is as the first initial contact, via phone and e-mail, for all prospective Bike Riders' clients, current clients and past clients. Along with your great phone persona, you will be using the power of written word to convey your enthusiasm and knowledge of Bike Riders over e-mail. As much as first impressions count for getting your foot in the door, follow up and follow through count for much more. Your main responsibly is guiding clients through the reservation process pre and post trip, following up with prospective leads and motivating the rest of the office staff to assist you in these endeavors. In addition, you work with Area Managers detailing tour operations and logistics, help with the marketing of tours and assist Office Manager with related duties when needed.

We are looking for a creative yet professional individual with a min of 2-5 years of equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate should have:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
• The ability to demonstrate initiative and handle projects independently.
• The desire to learn and be proactive.
• Travel and or living experience in New England, the Canadian Maritimes, Italy, France, Spain, Ireland or Portugal a plus.

Trip Leader
Being a trip leader provides you with the amazing opportunity to travel well, share in our philosophy of being saturated in the locale, make new friends and to intimately experience your region of expertise.

Requirements:
• Our leaders are dynamic and intelligent individuals who have considerable people skills. Leaders engage others in conversation, have the ability to motivate guests, and are active members of the group.
• Our leaders are resourceful, organizationally inclined, and possess the ability to make decisions.
• Our leaders are in good physical shape. Not only do our leaders cycle/walk on a regular basis, but leaders also lift luggage, bikes, and bags of equipment daily. Our leaders also possess a degree of competence in bike mechanics.
• Our leaders preferably have a background in history, art, art history, architecture and culinary arts.
• Bike Riders destinations include several countries in which English is not the native tongue. We require that our leaders be fluent in the language of the country where they work. Please identify any foreign languages in which you are fluent.
• Our leaders on European trips are skillful manual transmission drivers with experience driving a van on narrow roads.
• Our leaders have flexible schedules. Leading trips is a seasonal position, not a year round one. Our season begins in May and ends in October of each year. The length of your season depends on the region in which you lead trips.
