Bike with Roberto Donna in Sicily
Bike Riders' Cucina Rustica Guest Chef Biking Adventure in Sicily, Italy from October 9-16, features Sicilian sun, superb authentic cuisine, breathtakingly beautiful bike routes, and the return of illustrious Guest Chef, Roberto Donna of Washington D.C.'s innovative, Galileo. Roberto, a master of Italian cuisine, shares his zest for the good life by teaching us to cook antipasti siciliani such as peperonata and caponata, showing us how to select the very best fresh calamari, amberjack and sea bass straight from the fishing boats, and by trying his hand at rolling out maccheroni. Sicily's dramatic Aeolian islands, spectacular vistas of the azure Ionian Sea, and imposing views of Mt. Etna, dazzle our visual senses, as refreshing lemon granita, tangy capers, creamy local ricotta, and sweet Malvasia wine delight our palates. Chef Donna celebrates this Sicilian bounty right along with us whether we are biking, cooking, or just basking in the Sicilian sun.

Walk with Ron Suhanosky in Umbria
Stroll through the green heart of Italy with Chef Ron Suhanosky of Nantucket's rustic and intimate Trattoria Sfoglia on our Countryside & Cucina Guest Chef Walking Adventure in Umbria, Italy from October 2-9. Walk along quiet ancient footpaths that wind through silver-green olive groves and lush vineyards, opening up near tiny hamlets and quaint villages rich in both culinary delights and remarkable Renaissance frescoes. Ron, whose passion for pasta began by spending childhood Sunday mornings with his great-grandmother, teaches us how to roll out delicious Umbrian pastas such as stringozzi and umbricelli. Chef Suhanosky knows the back roads of Umbria well, and shares his knowledge and love for the Umbrian way of life as we sample organic olive oil, create authentic game dishes and taste the excellent Sagrantino di Montefalco, Umbria's most distinctive wine.
