For the Summer

June 2005
Nova Scotia, a Cyclist's Paradise
Average high temperatures in Nova Scotia are only in the 70's during July and August - which makes way for perfect biking weather and the feel of eternal springtime. Bike Riders' Evangeline Trail trip offers some of the best biking around. From the undulating hills through the fruit orchards of the Annapolis Valley to the dramatic coastal riding along the Bay of Fundy - ride by in the morning and see boats bobbing high in the water, ride by in the afternoon and see the same boats on their side with no water in sight! If the beauty of the land is not enough, the history lover in you will enjoy the Evangeline Trail. During our week, learn the origin of your Cajun ancestors and see the route of the original Halifax pony express. To complement your week of biking, tag on a day in Halifax, the lively seaport capital of Nova Scotia, before or after your tour. The Magical Emerald Isle
Temperatures hold steady in Ireland, no matter what the season, so brush up on your Irish brogue and hop across the pond for Bike Riders' biking adventure along Ireland's Mystical Western Shore. Riding is a treat in Ireland as lush green landscapes sweep around every bend and tiny stone cottages and celtic crosses dot the terrain. Our routes cover lovely backroads along the base of emerald mountains and sweet smelling peat fields where the only traffic jam you may encounter is the local farmer and his flock of sheep. To complement your week biking, Bike Riders suggests a day in two in Dublin. Swap a few tales over a pint of Guiness. Who's to say there isn't a touch of Irish in everyone?

Ireland's Mystical Western Shore: July 23-20, July 31-Aug 6, Sep 11-17

In addition to biking, Bike Riders also offers Walking Adventures in Ireland as well as Family Biking Adventures and Self-Guided Biking. Click here for more information.
