Autumn
The Magical Season

August 2005
Fall Cycling in New England
The days and weeks that linger between Labor Day and Columbus Day are a magical time to vacation in New England. The summer crowds have departed, the air is clean & crisp, the skies sunny & clear, and leaves begin to turn into shades of deep ochre, burnt orange and rich yellows that ignite the landscape into a patchwork of color. Come join Bike Riders as we travel to these fabulous fall New England destinations:

Island Hopping on The Vineyard & Nantucket:
There is always something about 'island' life that makes time pass by a bit slower and gently soothes the soul. Bike along miles of bike paths hugging the ocean, breath in the fresh salt air and dine on the freshest seafood and New England chowdah' around.
Dates: Sept 25-30, Oct 9-14

Maine's Hidden Coast:
A perfect extended weekend getaway at five days and fours nights, Bike Riders' Maine's Hidden Coast tour let's you experience the epitome of Maine. Cycle along the rocky shoreline next to pounding surf, weave through sweet smelling pines and end with a dockside feast of Atlantic lobster and steamers.
Dates: Sept 18-22

Maine: Camden & Castine:
As the fall colors reach their peak in October, Maine: Camden and Castine, is an ideal trip for 'leaf-peepers' seeking the renowned New England foliage. Our biking routes wind you through a kaleidoscope of brilliant yellows, oranges and reds along our inland routes and bring you along the glistening waters of the Atlantic shimmering in the fall sun.
Dates: Oct 2-7

Biking Nova Scotia's Cabot Trail
For another fall destination, consider Canada's 'Ocean Playground', Nova Scotia. Located on Cape Breton Island on the northernmost tip of Nova Scotia, Bike Riders' trip along the Cabot Trail offers a sensory extravaganza. The sweeping views along the coastal road of the Gulf of St. Lawrence rivals the beauty of California's Route 1. The highlands of the north coast give way to the granite cliffs diving into the Atlantic and round out a great week of biking in one of Canada's best kept secrets.
Dates: Sept 18-24
