Head out this summer on a Family Biking Adventure in New England, Italy, Ireland, or France. While our Family Adventures are designed with the whole family in mind, some trips are well suited for 6 year olds, others are better for 8 years of age and up. And if you don't see what you like, we would be happy to create your own Private Adventure.

Family Adventures for Kids 6 Years and Up:
Head to the sister islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket off the coast of Cape Cod or hop over the Atlantic for an elegant European vacation in France's Loire Valley. Our family adventure on The Vineyard and Nantucket is ideal for youngsters with its network of designated bike paths weaving along the ocean. Stop for a ride on America's oldest working carousel, The Flying Horses, and later kids of all ages can enjoy a scoop of their favorite flavor at Mad Martha's ice cream shop. At 4 days/3 nights, the Loire Valley trip is a perfect introduction to a bicycle vacation. Highlights include a hands-on lesson in French crêpe making and exploring the magnificent Château de Chenonceau.

Family Adventure for Kids 8 Years and Up:
Bike along the lush green fields on Ireland's Western Shore or combine some hiking with biking in Italy on Bike Riders new Escape to Umbria trip. In addition to gentle cycling, our Ireland family trip includes a visit to a studio where bodhráns, traditional Irish drums, are made and an afternoon at an adventure center, featuring an array of water sports such as kayaking, sailing and water-skiing. In Umbria, bike and hike through golden hued fields and silvery olive groves. Stop in Deruta, known for its hand-painted majolica pottery. Adults can tour a family run workshop while the kids can learn the basics of operating a pottery wheel and try their hands at painting a vase.
