Fall in New England & Canada The true beauty of New England and Canada is in their changing seasons. And as Labor Day closes out the summer, cool dry evenings mark the sign of fall. If you've never experienced the beauty of fall foliage it's as spectacular as fireworks on the 4th of July. The bold, vibrant colors are the trademark of this region.
How did they get so lucky? Located at the edge of the eastern time-zone the nights get longer allowing for the cool dry air to work its magic on the oak, maple and birch trees that populate Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Eastern Canada.
As the trees prepare for the coming winter, they block the production of chlorophyll in their leaves...revealing the brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges. It is truly a "must see."
No better place...
You could make the argument that there may be no better place on earth to enjoy the fall than this region. Bike Riders agrees and invites you to make it the backdrop for your next adventure. But then again, harvest season in Burgundy is quite enticing.
