NEW DESTINATIONS BRING NEW ADVENTURES
FOR BOSTON BASED BIKE RIDERS

(March 7, 2006) Bike Riders, the adventure travel company offering distinctive vacations in Europe, Canada and New England is happy to announce several new adventures for the 2006 season. To complement their extensive list of destinations, Bike Riders now offers biking through Galicia, the Northwest region of Spain, Puglia Guest Chef Biking in Italy, Québec Biking in Canada and a Biking & Hiking combination adventure through Umbria, Italy. Like all Bike Riders excursions, these new trips feature breathtaking scenery, 4 and 5 star inns and celebrated dining experiences.

Galicia: Spain's Hidden Gem is a treasure trove of beauty tucked away along the stunning northwest coast of Spain. Scenic estuaries, lush vineyards and medieval villages are just a few highlights on this journey. Bikers travel down quiet roads and cross the mountains that separate the provinces of Ourense and Pontevedra, stopping to take in dramatic views of the Galician countryside. After staying in luxurious properties including the magnificent 15th c. Parador Hotel de los Reyes Católicos, travelers toast their week at the Michelin starred Toñi Vicente with a glass of the finest white Ribeira wine.

Cucina Pugliese in Puglia, the latest addition to Bike Riders signature Guest Chef series, is the perfect combination of the flavors and scenery and the cultures and cuisine of southern Italy. Award-winning Chef Chris Prosperi, of Metro Bis in Connecticut and Boston's up and coming, Matt Abdoo, chef of Marco, join Bike Riders for an exceptional week of biking, while they celebrate the specialties of Pugliese cuisine. During the day, guests ride through almond groves, vineyards and fishing villages along the Adriatic Coast and spend their evenings enjoying the bounty of land and sea as well as a variety of fresh and seasonal vegetables. Hotels include Il Melograno, a lovely Relais & Châteaux property overlooking the orange groves and Masseria Torre Coccaro, a magnificently restored 5 star masseria hotel near the coast.
