FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BIKE RIDERS' GUEST CHEF BRADFORD THOMPSON NAMED ONE OF AMERICA'S BEST NEW CHEFS BY FOOD & WINE MAGAZINE

(July 27, 2004) Boston, Mass. - Bike Riders, the only adventure travel company to offer the popular Guest Chef Series of distinctive bicycling vacations through Europe's celebrated food regions, announces that chef Bradford Thompson of Mary Elaine's in Scottsdale, Arizona, named one of America's 10 best new chefs by Food & Wine, is their featured Guest Chef in Provence this fall.

A veteran of such world-class restaurants as Daniel, Café Boulud and db bistro moderne in New York City, Bradford Thompson was selected by Food & Wine, "because he's in full control of every ingredient on his French-American menu...enhancing the simplest dishes with smart flourishes."

Thompson is the featured Guest Chef on Bike Riders' La Cuisine du Soleil, a bicycling trip with a culinary twist in Provence, France, September 20 - 27, 2004. The trip includes cooking lessons, vineyard tours, wine and salt tastings and superb dining in four - and five-star restaurants and hotels, including the renowned two-star Michelin restaurant Oustaù de Baumanière and Relais & Châteaux property Château de Rochegude. "Our Guest Chef Series is an ideal way to marry a love of biking with a love of good food," said Bike Riders' Director Lorenzo De Monaco. "In essence, the only requirement is a good appetite! Brad shares cooking tips, wine choices and little known ingredients to help our travelers enjoy the best Provence has to offer. But for Brad it's not just about the cuisine, as part of the fun is for him to be biking with us along Provence's beautiful trails."

Provence's La Cuisine du Soleil trip is Thompson's fifth Guest Chef appearance with Bike Riders. Brad Thompson was featured in previous Guest Chef trips, including the Cycling & Cucina in Umbria, Italy, Cucina Rustica in Sicily, Italy, Grands Crus & Great Chefs in Burgundy, France, as well as an earlier edition of La Cuisine du Soleil in Provence, France.
