Experience the Tour de France in True Bike Riders Style
(March 1, 2005) Boston, MA - Bike Riders, the adventure travel company known for its distinctive bicycle vacations, returns to France this July to celebrate and experience the excitement of the 102nd Tour de France. The heart of the Alps is the perfect backdrop to watch legends like Lance Armstrong compete for the coveted yellow Jersey. And Bike Riders will be there in true Bike Riders style.
Our 6-day journey begins in the mountain village of Courchevel where riders take in breathtaking views and get their first glimpse of the Tour. We welcome its arrival with an extraordinary dinner feast at the two-star Michelin restaurant Chabichou, where traditional Savoyard dishes meet gastronomic inspiration.
Knowledgeable and experienced guides lead riders off the beaten path to truly experience France and cycling at it's best. Our trip follows some of the same routes as the best racers in the world. Riders pass gently rolling lavender fields, rewarding inclines and scenic olive orchards and vineyards as we make our way to Provence.
The Tour de France is just a part of this once in a lifetime trip. Our first class affair features celebrated French cuisine and wines, luxury accommodations including 4 star Hotel Sivoliere in Courcheval and Relais & Châteaux property Cabro d'Or in Les Baux de Provence. "What better complement to the tour than celebrated French cuisine, wine and hospitality." said Lorenzo De Monaco, Director of Bike Riders. "In fact, Bike Riders' Tour de France trip concludes in style with another memorable dining experience at Oustaù de Baumanière featuring local provencal classics such as Cavaillon melon with Beaumes-de-Venise, black olive tapenade, ratatouille and rabbit pate."
Unlike other cycling tours, Bike Riders' unique small groups (16 max) assure personalized attention and exceptional service, no detail is too small.
