Québec..a taste of Europe without leaving North America. La Belle Province offers us beautiful villages, riverside rides, world-class dining, and old world charm. The estuary of the St. Lawrence stretches for hundreds of miles east of Québec City, and on its south shore lies the Bas-Saint-Laurent, a region of pastoral farmlands nestled between the mountains and the river. Québec truly is a cyclist's paradise.
• Old town of Québec City
• Miles and miles of scenic bike paths along the Route Verte
• Riding along the Chaudière Gorge
• Spectacular views along the majestic St. Lawrence
• The historic Plains of Abraham
Days 1 & 2 La Cðte-du-Sud
We cycle along country roads that take us along the picturesque south shore of the St. Lawrence. We stop to explore the town of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, famous for its woodcarving and sculpture. After a delicious lunch, we visit the Seigneurie des Aulnaies, a historic manor house with beautiful flower gardens.

• Two nights at l'Auberge des Glacis, a former mill turned country inn.
Day 3 Les Plus Beaux Villages
Our route leads us through 'The Most Beautiful Villages of Québec', a network of authentic heritage villages from L'Islet-sur-Mer to Kamouraska. We cycle through this area of pastoral 17th c. hamlets crowned by church spires, alternating between scenic bi-ways along the St. Lawrence to inland rides along the renowned Route Verte, or cycling greenway.

• Overnight at l'Auberge de Solaillerie, a charming inn nestled in the village of Saint-André-de-Kamouraska.
Day 4, 5, & 6 Véloroute de la Chaudière and la Ville de Québec
A magnificent ride on a biking greenway along the banks of the Chaudière and St. Lawrence rivers ends in a ferry crossing to Québec City, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our inn, tucked in the heart of the fortified old city, is our base as we explore the surrounding countryside on a network of paved bike paths. We savor the sites and visit the Plains of Abraham, the battlefield where the shape of Canadian history was decided in 1759. We toast our trip at our inn's gourmet restaurant, Panache, feasting on heirloom tomato gazpacho and truffle marinated venison.

• Two nights at Auberge Saint-Antoine, a Relais & Chateaux property featured on the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List.
